small thoughts about spanish tutoring
[info]yue_dreamflower
I've been giving Spanish lesson to an American friend and I don't know who is having the greater time, if she or I. My "student" has Chinese blood and I think is in her last 40 (I can't tell right on Asian people!); she also gives great advice. I'm not that great with English, (as you may see), but I seem to be good at explaining. However... is so funny when you have to explain some words/phrases that are common but so wrong grammatically or is just a slang. The same happened with a japanese friend who came to Argentina for learning Spanish, something as plain as "did you have fun last night?" can be told in one hundred different ways. But is a rule that the one you will pick up when learning a new language, is the expresion that can have a double meaning ^^;;;

June Esbat & Starbucks

Today is June Esbat and I've just wrote something very deep and meaningful for me, but I press some key accidentally that made firefox explorer go back and lost everything >_< #
So... once again...
...When the dark half of the year was approaching I was very excited as I planned to think about my goals and some problems I've got to reach them. However, when the  reasons where found, later I realized that the solution was not thinking that much, but go into action. As I live in the south hemisphere, the days are still getting shorter and darker and moving closer to Yule. But the gods are kind to me, as I'm surrounding with wonderful people that are like candles on these oppressive dark days. I'm having a wonderful evening every Friday on my Tarot Cafes, creating nice and peaceful moments with Gero, and not starving even though I can't find a job!
One of the coolest things I'm doing is going to Starbucks with Gero (my one and only) to taste something new. I love "cafes" or coffee shops, and Starbucks is really something (or at least, the Argentine version of it). Is not just the coffee, but the place you stay, listening to jazz music and spending the whole afternoon speaking in a coach or drawing in a table. The one I go more often is full of foreigners that make me feel I travel somehow. You also share tables or sits with others, which is good for starting a random chat.  The first Starbucks opened a year ago, but now there are like 8, and even more about to open. I had applied some weeks ago for a job, as new branches means new workers, but until now, not response had come.
One interesting thing I want to share with you, is that starbucks' paper cups are done in the US (on the photo you may read "made in the USA"). I think is really a waste that they don't use glass or mugs. I've heard someone talking that he wanted a Vanilla Latte in a mug and his friend saying they didn't serve on them. Some people take the empty paper cups to their homes, much more as a souvenir than for ecological conscience, and even if I feel a little embarrassed, I'm one of them ^^;;;
So my goals are into my studies, my art creations, finding a new job... and next time I go to Starbucks,  ask for a common mug not to waste paper, and to start a random chat with a foreigner!
what a mixture!!!
XD

Hey there!! I'm Yue, a 27 years old eclectic wiccan. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America, The Earth. I've just have realize that this journal will be visited for half spanish and english speakers ^^;;; I hope the two paragraphs won't be too annoying.
I have started this path not too long ago... I've started studying about it in 2007, but it became serious since Beltane '08. The objetive is to became a better person. Unfortunately, there's a long way ahead. I'm a dreamer and only came down to reality every time comet Halley visits Earth, and that's the reason why my dreams are just... dreams. In this journal I would like to share them with you and, hopefully, watch the process as they became true.

Whoever well-hearted person that wants to share opinions and interest with me, blessed be :)
